Able to cleave DNA and also RNA, but at less and more selective a degree. Also reported to induce and regulate apoptosis in a variety of cells, and inhibit tumor angiogenesis.
Produces double and single stranded DNA breaks. Inhibitis intracellular DNA replication. DNA alkylating agent.
