Takara pBI-CMV4 is a mammalian bidirectional expression vector designed to constitutively express a protein of interest and DsRed2, a human codon-optimized variant of the Discosoma sp. red fluorescent protein. The vector allows straightforward detection of transfected mammalian cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy, as cells expressing the protein of interest can be quickly identified by screening for DsRed2 fluorescence. Protein expression is driven by one of two constitutively active human cytomegalovirus promoters: P_{CMV IE} drives the expression of the protein of interest, and P_minCMV drives the expression of DsRed2. - TAKBGN (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
