Detailed Description | Key Features Ideal for general-purpose, laboratory, and single-use applications to connect tubing with the rest of your systemFree technical application support available to determine which connector type is needed for your applicationManufactured in an ISO Class 7 certified cleanroom to minimize contamination by pollutantsInnovative three-port steam designPatented steam valve design3/4" sanitary connection for condensate port0.5" nominal flow path sizePolysulfone with polycarbonate sleeve3/8" hose barb x 3/4" sanitary connection More About this Item The CPC® (Colder) Steam-Thru® connectors feature a unique three-port design for a true steam-through steam-in-place (SIP) process, eliminating dead legs and the need for a laminar flow hood. Use the Steam-Thru SIP connection to sterilize the fitting while connected to stainless steel equipment. Steam passes directly through the lower port to stainless steel equipment, then once the SIP cycle is completed, the valve is actuated to create a sterile flow path to single-use systems. Select from 3/4" and 1-1/2" sanitary connections for attachment to the processing equipment. Connectors withstand temperatures up to 130°C (266°F) for 60 minutes during SIP. All connectors are made from animal-derived component-free materials, making them ideal for a wide range of biopharmaceutical, bioprocessing, cell therapy, gene therapy, and other critical-use applications. Fittings are manufactured, double bagged, and sealed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom to ensure that the integrity is not compromised. An ISO Class 7 cleanroom utilizes HEPA filtration systems to maintain air cleanliness levels of less than 10,000 particles of 0.5 µm or larger per cubic foot. |
