Millipore Detect Neuroglobin Using This Mouse Monoclonal Antibody, Anti-Neuroglobin Antibody, Clone 6g1.1 Validated For Use In Western Blotting & Ihc. - Mill (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
Neuroglobin protein encoded by the gene NGB, is involved in oxygen transport in the brain. Neuroglobin is also important for neuroprotection during oxidative stress. Additionally, Neuroglobin has anti-apoptotic activity by reseting the mitochondrial membrane tigger level for cytochrome C release and the commitment to apoptosis. Neuroglobin is localized to the perikaryon, cytoplasm, and mitochondrion. Neuroglobin is predominantly expressed in the brain with strongest expression in the frontal lobe and the subthalamic nucleus and thalamus.
