Designed to serve as a column resolution text mixture as well as a calibration mixture for retention time (RT) versus boiling point (bp) calibration. Suitable for use with ASTM Methods D2887 and D7798.
Note: If solubility issues are experienced during standard preparation, warm the ampul in a 50 °C water bath for 30 seconds, remove, and shake well. Visually inspect the ampul contents to ensure all compounds are fully dissolved. Wait 30 seconds, open, and quickly dilute desired aliquot with appropriate solvent.
Description
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International) Method D2887-12 is used to determine the boiling range distribution of petroleum products and fractions having a final boiling point of 538 °C (1000 °F) or lower, a boiling range greater than 55 °C (131 °F), and a vapor pressure sufficiently low to permit sampling at ambient temperature.
